Whitegate farm campsite & fishing New Lo

The fishing pool was stocked several years ago with various types of Carp, Bream and Tench and these have been allowed to mature and establish in size.

Prices apply whether you are fishing or spectating Pegs can’t be reserved, first come, first serve basis.

There is a good walkway around the perimeter .

Vehicles can be parked nearby if required.

Whitegate Fishing Pool is open !

We are delighted to announce this, no pre booking required, however we ask for you to read the guidelines below and make payment as stated below.

Please read Our updated rules before arrival:

  • Day ticket payment of £5 per person, see column to the right on how to pay. 

  • Only one person (plus one person from your household or bubble can join you) we will be monitoring this and we will not allow rules to be broken and you will be reported. 

  • Social distancing still applies 

  • Stay home if you are sick, or showing or feeling any COVID-19 symptoms, such as fever, coughing, and/or troubled breathing

  • Practice social distancing by keeping at least six (6) feet of distance between yourself and others.

  • Follow CDC guidelines, such as wearing a mask in public.

  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.

  • Wash hands often or use an alcohol-based hand sanitiser with at least 60% alcohol when soap and water are not available

  • The campsite toilets are not available at present, so please do not use whilst on site.

  • Drive to your fishing spots individual only welcome and only if you are feeling well.

  • Don’t share fishing gear with others. Each angler should have their own fishing gear (rod and reels, bait, lures, towels, pliers, and other personal items).

  • Please take all rubbish home with you

  • Please do not wander anywhere on site other than the fishing pool, as this is our home and a working farm. 

  • Please do not knock on the doors of either the farmhouse or bungalow (fishing money can still be placed in at bungalow post box, in a clean envelope).

Fishing Rules:

READ COVID 19 RULES AS THESE Now apply and anyone not sticking to these will be asked leave without a refund.

  • Payments for day tickets must be made on arrival at bungalow situated at top of fishing track. DO NOT RING THE DOOR BELL. Day ticket payment of £5 per person should be put in an envelope, written on the envelope your full name, date of fishing, car registration and contact phone number. Posted into bungalow post box on the wall...before you fish (when you arrive).CCTV in operation, action will be taken if you fish without paying.

  • Fishing from 8am until 3.30pm Autumn/winter or  Spring/Summer 7.30am until 7.30pm 

  • No night fishing allowed

  • No vistiors to the pool

  • Spectators must pay for a fishing day ticket. 

  • Keep nets can be used but must be disinfected prior to fishing. 

  • All equipment must be disinfected including boots on arrival

  • No radios or music by pool side

  • No dogs around the fishing pool

  • No litter or line to be left at pool

  • Over 18’s only. Children under 18 to be accompanied by an adult and must be quiet

  • No hemp, peanuts or floating baits to be used

  • Everyone must have their own landing net

  • Barbless hooks must be used at all times

  • No ground baiting

  • No reservation of pegs allowed, based on a first come first serve basis

  • No stalking fish, please stick to a peg and fish it

  • Max 2 rods per adult and one rod for a child

  • fishing rod licence required 

  • Anyone that does not adhere to these rules will be asked to leave and not allowed back. No refunds will be given if you have paid.

  • Please do not knock on the doors of either the farmhouse or bungalow (fishing money can still be placed in at bungalow post box, in envelope) or approach any of the persons living here at Whitegate Farm , we are in lockdown and appreciate you respect this. 

  • Do not drive around the fishing pool if wet as it will damage the track and there is a risk you will get stuck. A £40 towing charge will made if available to tow off.
